Back when I was doing my Interior Design Degree I bought “Interior Design Visual Presentation: A Guide to Graphics, Models and Presentation Techniques“, and it was so helpful when I was trying to build scale models of buildings I was designing!
It’s full of amazing advice and information about 2D and 3D drawing and presentation, if you are looking to improve your interior design presentation skills, then it’s an absolute lifesaver…
The Bible: Architects Pocket Book by Charlotte Baden Powell
My BIBLE is the Architects Pocket Book by Charlotte Baden Powell. it was on my reading list at uni and it is one of the few books that I definitely couldn’t live without. It lists all the measurements that you would need to know when designing a space, such as wheelchair sizes for doors, sink heights, and everything in-between!

The Little Book of Colour

Every Interior Design student needs a colour theory book in their collection, and my number one choice is The Little Book of Colour by Karen Haller.
This book delves into the psychology of colour and its impact on emotions, behavior, and well-being. Unlike traditional colour theory books that focus solely on aesthetics, this book explores how different hues influence mood and atmosphere, helping designers make more intentional choices when creating spaces.
