Last weekend I decided to head down to the coast for the day, to get some nice salty sea air in my hair and just generally explore a bit. This got me thinking about seaside/nautical inspired interiors and how much I would LOVE to live by the sea!
I made a little coastal themed colour palette inspired by the blues and greens of the sea and sky, and the shades of beige and white found in the old wooden fence and the chalk cliffs.
The photo below was taken on the Pier at Eastbourne. I love the colours where the blue and white paint has peeled off to reveal the old wood underneath.
Both these beautiful living rooms feature coastal inspired themes with lots of natural light, soft colours, natural materials such as wood and cotton, and seaside inspired accessories such as the paintings, coral and shells.
