Home Staging Project: The Dining Room

Hey Everyone! So, today I would like to share part of my last project with you. The project was called ‘Home Staging’ and for it we had to re-design a house that was being sold, on two very different budgets. Today I will show you the dining room. I’ll start with a ‘before’ picture. The room wasn’t really used by the previous owners so the idea was to turn it into an attractive and useful dining space that will attract potential buyers.

The pictures below are of the final design and product selection for the two budget options. We were asked to use high quality products in both scenarios so although there are two different budget options, neither of them are ‘cheap’. Both rooms are much brighter now and SOO much more inviting, I think I would enjoy dinner with friends in these rooms! The First image (Budget option 1) came to £2738.79 and the second image (budget option 2) came to £7903.32.

So what do you think? Personally I prefer option 2, it looks much more elegant, and I’m in love with that lampshade!
I would love to hear opinions on this so please feel free to comment!

Lots of love,

Emily

Wow. You are taking this to a whole new level for me! We moved into our new place in April and just kind of … stopped decorating after the living/dining area was suitable. As in, master and spare bedrooms are still just… storage, mostly. I do love the gold and green, though I'm not sure about the green spotted chair…. haha Happy decorating!!

Glad you like it Sarah! I know what you mean about the spotty chair, I have kind of gone off that one as well! Ahh you have so much to look forward to if you still have bedrooms to decorate, they are the best bit! (especially the guest bedrooms, that's where you can really show off 🙂 hehe) Good luck with your decorating, send me pics of the results!
