Vinyl Wall Stickers and Mural Wallpapers for Kids Rooms!

I don’t know about you, but I always feel slightly restricted when it comes to decorating the walls of a rental property. I don’t usually like to paint rented properties, mostly because of the time it takes and the costs involved (especially as you need to paint it back to the original colour before you leave), so in rented houses or apartments, I normally end up decorating the walls with art and accessories that can be removed, and leave the walls white. When it comes to kid’s bedrooms though, it’s always nice to have a bit more colour and be a bit more playful, and if you can do this without damaging the walls, then why not?

Vinyl wall stickers and mural wallpaper can be a fantastic option for children’s bedrooms, particularly if you are renting your property and are unable to paint the walls, as they peel off cleanly without leaving any marks. I have used vinyl wall stickers before, and they worked really well.

Vinyl stickers are really easy to apply and MUCH quicker than painting (painting could take the best part of a day and be very messy, whereas stickers can be applied with no mess in a few minutes) they are also reusable, so if you change your mind, you can easily reposition them without any damage to the walls- what’s not to love?!

Another great option is mural wallpaper, which is perfect if you were just planning to decorate one ‘feature’ wall. Normal wallpapers can be difficult to apply if you haven’t done it before, but the mural wallpaper from PIXERS is similar to the vinyl stickers in that they are self-adhesive, easy to apply and can be removed when required.

PIXERS design and make a huge variety of wall murals and wall stickers in any size, so you can order them knowing that they will fit your walls perfectly- here are a few of my favourites!

This ‘painted’ style mountain scene is my absolute favourite! It’s so playful and cute! It really sparks the imagination, and the bright colours go so well together- perfect for any children bedroom or nursery.

My niece is obsessed with cats, and this would go in her room perfectly, it’s such a playful design, and the slightly muted colours mean it doesn’t get too overwhelming with the large pattern.

This one is a bit more of a simple design, but it would look great in a kid’s room of any age, due to its simplicity of it. The muted colours make it quite sophisticated, so it’s perfect for this one. Definitely a winner.

This one is really lovely too, and again, this would actually be suitable for any age, but I think it would be particularly lovely in a nursery. I love the blue and white design, which is perfect if you are looking to create a calmer space. I have posted the image below so you can see the design more clearly- what do you think?

So that’s it! There are so many more on their website, so definitely check them out if you are looking to re-design a kid’s bedroom! Which one is your favourite? Let me know in the comments below!
