There’s been a lot in the news lately about the impact our modern lives are having on the environment, it’s quite scary. I think it’s important that we all try to do our bit to make the world a greener place, and the great thing is that there are some simple changes you can make to do your bit for the environment without having to drastically change your lifestyle. So, today I am going to be looking at some of the best eco friendly cleaning products for your home.
Switching to eco friendly products is one of the easiest changes you can make, especially since there are now a good range of eco friendly cleaning products available in supermarkets, as well as online in places like Ocado and Amazon.
I’m going to be doing a deep clean this week (check out these amazing Spring cleaning tips for 10 ways to get your Spring clean done with less stress) and these are the best eco friendly cleaning products I could find for all areas of the home.
First, let’s just take a look at the benefits of using green cleaning products over regular cleaning products…
The Benefits of Using Eco Friendly Cleaning Products
- Using biodegradable soaps and other cleaning products will help to decrease water pollution.
- Eco friendly cleaning products often use ingredients that are kinder to your skin than the harsh chemicals in other cleaning products.
- The products will not be tested on animals.
- You can save money by making some eco friendly cleaning products by yourself. As well as saving you money, you will know exactly what is going into your eco friendly cleaning products, and you can also have some fun choosing the scent (essential oils are a safe way to scent your cleaning products), so your home will spell delicious after every clean.
- Better air quality in your home. As well as being kinder to your lungs initially, you won’t have any harsh chemical residue and VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds) seeping into the air in your home.
- Eco friendly cleaning products are generally safer, as they don’t contain any hazardous chemicals such as ammonia or chlorine, and are unlikely to cause chemical burns if spilled.
Now that we’ve seen the benefits of using eco friendly cleaning products in your home, let’s take a look at some of the best products available in the UK.
