I think it’s important that we all try to do our bit to make the world a greener place, and the great thing is that there are some simple changes you can make to do your bit for the environment without having to drastically change your lifestyle. So, today I am going to be looking at some of the best eco friendly cleaning products for your home.
Switching to eco friendly products is one of the easiest changes you can make, especially since there are now a good range of eco friendly cleaning products available in supermarkets, as well as online in places like Ocado and Amazon.
I’m going to be doing a deep clean this week (check out these amazing Spring cleaning tips for 10 ways to get your Spring clean done with less stress) and these are the best eco friendly cleaning products I could find for all areas of the home.

Iron & Velvet have created a completely plastic free solution to household cleaning products. Their products come as a concentrated solution in a water soluble sachet, which you decant into your own container and mix with water.
You can re-use any old spray bottle you have, or even use a glass jar or bottle. Iron & Velvet also provide a sticker for the outside of the container you use so you always know which product you are using. Once you have filled your container you just leave the sachet in a bowl of warm water, and it will completely dissolve!

Another great brand that is available in most supermarkets now is Ecover. They do a fab bathroom cleaner that uses a biodegradable formula which won’t damage our oceans. It has smells fresh and pleasant, and is tough on limescale and soap, so your bathroom will be sparkling clean in no time.
Ecover never test on animals, and their bottles are made from recycled and plant plastics.

The Best Eco Friendly Oven Cleaner
Ovens are the WORST thing to have to clean. I don’t know about you, but it’s probably the cleaning task I dread most. Since I’m pregnant there is no way I want to be using a regular oven cleaner, but there are a few solutions for this.
- You can easily make your own oven cleaner with vinegar and baking soda
- Or you can buy an eco friendly oven cleaner like Ecover.
